Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS) Psychiatric Emergency Clinic/Emergency Department (PEC/ED), 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, CA 92161 requires a Contractor to provide Short Term Acute Residential Treatment for Veterans with mental health issues in crisis. The contractor shall provide a treatment alternative to a locked psychiatric unit, which could occur at the VASDHS or as a referral out to a community hospital if no beds available at the medical center or VISN. This alternative resource would allow for a safe, cost effective, therapeutic treatment option for Veterans presenting in crisis. The contract will include a base year, one year from the date of award, with four one year renewal options that can be exercised at the discretion of the Government. This solicitation will be issued as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR 13.5 and shall be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 13.5 NAICS is 623220, Size Standard $15.0 Million.
