- Response to the Questions provided by Interested Vendors USAMRICD Conference Room Racks W81XWH-17-T-0085 Amendment 0001 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. **This solicitation is the follow-on of the previously cancelled solicitation W81XWH-17-T-0034.** The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is located at Fort Detrick, in Frederick, Maryland, approximately 60 miles northwest of Washington, D.C. USAMRAA is the contracting element of the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) and provides support to the Command Headquarters and its worldwide network of laboratories and medical logistics organizations. USAMRAA also supports the Fort Detrick Garrison and its military tenant activities, Army-wide projects sponsored by the Army Surgeon General, and numerous Congressionally mandated programs. Additional information regarding Fort Detrick can be found at http://www.detrick.army.mil/. The U.S. Army Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) requires the service resources of telephone support, on-site support, preventative maintenance, diagnosis, repair, parts replacement, system software updates and user training for five turn-key Audio/Visual (AV) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems. The Contractor shall accomplish the assigned work by employing and utilizing qualified personnel with appropriate combinations of education, training, and experience. The Contractor shall provide the necessary resources and infrastructure to manage, perform, and administer the contract. Further information regarding specific tasks associated with this requirement is identified in the Performance Work Statement under Section 5, "Specific Tasks". Please review all the attachments provided as part of the solicitation package. Site Visit: USAMRAA invites interested Contractors to participate in a site visit to assess Building E2900 at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and determine the scope of the AV and VTC Maintenance requirement. There will be one (1) site visit and it is scheduled for Thursday January 26, 2017 at 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST). The Contractor is limited to sending two (2) representatives. Contractors are to send an email to the Contract Specialist, Brandon Roebuck at brandon.m.roebuck.civ@mail.mil identifying the two (2) representatives expected to participate in the site visit. The email should contain the contractor name and the solicitation number (W81XWH-17-T-0085), the full names of the representatives, and if the representatives are United States citizens. If the representatives are not United States citizens, the email should include immigration information. Further information regarding the site visit can be found under "Proposal Submission Instructions" of the attached solicitation document. All requests to participate in the site visit are due by 3:00 PM EST on Monday, January 23, 2017. Questions concerning the RFQ are due no later than 03:00 PM EST on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Questions shall be submitted to the Contract Specialist, Mr. Brandon Roebuck, brandon.m.roebuck.civ@mail.mil, by the due date and time. No telephone calls will be accepted. No questions shall be addressed after the due date. An Amendment to the solicitation will be submitted providing the answers to all questions concerning the solicitation received prior to the question due date. The Point-of-Contact (POC) for the delivery of the proposals is Mr. Brandon Roebuck at brandon.m.roebuck.civ@mail.mil. Proposals shall be clearly marked in the e-mail with the solicitation number, the Contract Specialist name and the Offeror's company name and address. The maximum file size for attachments in the Government email via Microsoft Outlook is 19 MB. The Offeror may send more than one email if necessary to complete the transmission of its proposal. The Offeror is responsible for ensuring receipt of the proposals by the POC. The Government will not be responsible for any lost or misdirected proposals due to failure to follow these instructions. Proposals are due by 12:00 PM EST on Friday, February 17, 2017. **UPDATED 08 February 2017 - Additional documents have been included as part of this amendment. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the hour and date specified in the solicitation or as amended by one of the following methods: (a) By completing items 8 and 15 and returning (1) copy of the amendment; (b) By acknowleding receipt of this amendment on each copy of the offeror submittd; or (c) By separate letter or telegram which includes a reference to the solicitation and amendment numbers. FAILURE OF YOUR ACKNOWLEDGMENT TO BE RECEIVED AT THE PLACE DESIGNATED FOR THE RECEIPT OF OFFERS PRIOR TO THE HOUR AND DATE SPECIFIED MAY RESULY IN REJECTION OF YOUR OFFER.
