- Description
- GOOGLE G SUITE BUSINESS APPLICATIONS SOFTWARE LICENSE RENEWAL The Philadelphia Office of the U.S. Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Contracting Department intends to solicit the sole source (brand name) procurement of Google G Suite Business Applications Software License Renewal, in support of the National Defense University (NDU) for training and collaboration purposes. The instant requirement shall: -Enable NDU to have visibility into the use of the Google environment and to take actions to ensure that the environment is operated in a more secure manner. -Enable NDU to protect its data and maintain its security accreditation. Loss of the accreditation may necessitate shutting down the environment and would cause a major impact to NDUs educational mission (~700 Masters Students per year and other programs). This acquisition is being processed pursuant to FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Google is considered the only responsible source of the required software license renewal that will satisfy the instant requirement. All other responsible sources may submit concise documentation for consideration regarding their ability to provide the required support, as well as financial and technical information. However, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Furthermore, no award will be made on the basis of information received in response to this notice and the Navy will not pay for any information provided. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not competitive procurement is a possibility. Such information, if submitted, should be forwarded to NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office, 700 Robbins Ave., Bldg. 2B, Philadelphia, PA 19111-5083, to the attention of Joseph Maier, Code 290.2K joseph.e.maier@navy.mil, and reference acquisition control number 2017-0557. Google and its authorized resellers will be solicited, concurrently with the publication of this synopsis, to provide the required supplies. The solicitation period will allow at least five (5) days for interested parties to provide their capabilities information. The solicitation will be posted to the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) and FedBizOpps (FBO) websites.
