Description
1. NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or award a contract. A response will not be considered as a proposal, nor will any award be made as a result of this notice. The 115th Fighter Wing will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice. Only non-classified information shall be provided in your response. Copies of the submitted information may be reproduced for government review. 2. PURPOSE: This Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. 3. PROGRAM DETAILS: The 115th Fighter Wing at Dane County Regional Airport -Truax Field, Madison, WI is conducting market research seeking capable sources to upgrade the existing MOSCAD radio control to the Motorola ACE3600 Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) for the BAK-14 Arresting Systems and tower control panel for the BAK-14 aircraft arresting systems. The electronic control system shall interface with and operate the BAK-14 aircraft arresting systems (Control & Non-Control) installed on each runway end. The Tower Control and Command Post systems shall be wired for two complete runways. The six barrier units require radio communication from a centralized station (control tower). RTUs with radio are required at the control tower, fire department, Command Post, the ANG Barrier Maintenance shop, and at each of the six barrier locations. Sources must be capable of providing all materials, equipment, labor, and supervision necessary to remove the existing system and install the upgraded components. 4. GOVERNMENT REQUEST: Interested parties are requested to submit a letter of interest and a statement of current capability. Statement shall include the ability to meet the terms of the above paragraph. Email responses are preferred. Please limit your submissions to five pages in PDF or Microsoft Word format. The Government will post updates to the Sources Sought within the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website. Interested parties are requested to check this website periodically for updates and the most current information.
