United States Department of State Foreign Service Institute School of Professional and Area Studies Consular Training Source Sought Notice - Hotel Lodging in Downtown Boston, MA This SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE is open to all business size types. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to determine the interest in supporting this requirement. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. government, nor will the U.S. government pay for information solicited. The information from this notice will help the Department of State (DOS) plan its acquisition strategy or plan. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. The United States government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice nor will information submitted in response to this notice be returned. The DOS, Foreign Service Institute, School of Professional and Area Studies, Consular Training division, is conducting a market survey to determine the interest and availability of lodging providers that meet the following requirements: • Location: Downtown Boston, MA • 26 guestrooms for two (2) nights at the government rate • Check-in on Thursday, Check-out on Saturday • NO meeting space required • Not all guests have credit cards o Lodging provider must be able to modify rooms to either 1) remove or secure snack bar items or 2) allow a cash deposit • Desired requirements: o 24 hour room service and/or gift shop or similar o Eateries and shopping within walking distance This lodging requirement exists three (3) times a year, in September, November and January, in support of professional development and training and includes a visit to the National Visa Center in Portsmouth, NH. Interested firms are requested to submit a capability statement, limited to no more than two pages. Capability statements must be specifically tailored to address the information identified in this notice. Generic corporate marketing information will not be considered responsive to this synopsis and will not be included in the market research assessment. Submission instructions are provided below. The capability statement shall include the following: 1. Company name, address, telephone number, point of contact (including email address), company size and DUNS number. The capability statement shall not include the following: 1. Formal proposals or offers; nor 2. Questions or comments not related to this notice. SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Only electronic copies of capability statements will be accepted. Responses shall be sent directly to the Contracts Specialist at the email address below. Include "SFSIAQ17SS4020" in the email subject line. Responses to this notice are due Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. All questions pertaining to this notice are due by Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR A FORMAL PROPOSAL OR A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. THERE IS NO SOLICIATION AT THIS TIME.
