Description
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production/repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the HH-60G Engineering Services Contract. Our acquisition strategy is a three-year contract (basic plus two option years) and will continue through FY20. The USAF currently has 96 HH-60G helicopters, distributed through a number of USAF units in the United States and overseas locations. The HH-60G helicopters are specially equipped to operate in search and rescue missions. Many aircraft are repeatedly deployed to combat theaters. The HH-60G replacement program is currently a funded program of record called "Combat Rescue Helicopter" with a current fielding date estimated to be Q3-Q4 FY20. Thus, the HH-60G fleet is expected to be in service for an additional 15+ years. Because of the high rate of flight hours, the HH-60G requires consistent maintenance, repair and upgrades. A multi-disciplined engineering team with expert knowledge of HH-60G is required to provide repair instructions, modification support, support accident investigations and technical orders changes. A combination of USAF personnel and contractors have accomplished these tasks for several years but OEM support has remained constant for basic aircraft data and complex interactions between propulsion, airframe, power transmission, dynamic components, flight control and stabilization system, fuel hydraulic and pneudraulics and avionics.
