- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan Engineering District (JED) is performing market research for a Design-Bid-Build (D-B-B) construction project titled: "Company Operations Complex, Mission Support Area Commercial Power Infrastructure, Kyogamisaki, Japan." This announcement represents a market survey that is intended for preliminary planning purposes only. The purpose of this notice is to identify sources capable of performing this project and to receive responses from those firms to assist the Government's acquisition planning. This survey does not constitute a commitment by the Government for any follow-on announcements, solicitation, or award. This is NOT a solicitation. The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this market survey. Information about the project: Project Title: Company Operations Complex, Mission Support Area Commercial Power Infrastructure, Kyogamisaki, Japan Project Location: Kyogamisaki, located in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan Project NAICS: 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Project Magnitude: Between ¥100,000,000 and ¥500,000,000 Japanese YEN based on an exchange rate of 1 U.S. Dollar to 100 Japanese Yen. Project Description: Construct the infrastructure required to connect to commercial power for the Mission Support Area of the Kyogamisaki Communication Site. Infrastructure, such as Motor Generator set and transformers, are to be furnished by the US government and installed by the contractor. This contract shall consist of the construction, integration, and testing of the new electrical system, from the pole air switch (PAS) to interface with the loads. ===================================================================== Submission Requirements for responses to this Market Survey: Interested firms are requested to reply with the following information to assist the government in developing an acquisition strategy. 1. Please describe your experience within the last five (5) years, if any, with switchgear, and power conditioning equipment (up to 10kv, 1MW to 2MW). Or, have you worked with any subcontractors that have experience with switchgear, and power conditioning equipment? 2. Please describe your experience with installing US-style Motor Generator sets or similar type equipment. 3. Please describe your experience/ability with working on high voltage terminations on both US-style and Japan-style conductors. 4. Please describe your experience working on projects with Government-Furnished Equipment: a) Produced by US manufacturers b) Produced by Japan manufactures 5.
