- NOTICE OF INTENET TO SOLE SOURCE: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Atlantic Paste & Glue of Bayonne, NJ. The Government intends to purchase Atlantic Paste & Glue CDC AGO Sticky boards with an anticipated delivery of 30 days. Atlantic Paste and Glue is the manufacturer of these sticky boards which is currently the only approved glue and sticky board combination approved for use in the CDC AGO trap. The Government intends to negotiate this requirement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. It is the Government's belief that only one responsible source exists and no other product or services will satisfy agency requirements. The product consists of an insect glue applied on a plastic sheet where mosquitoes are captured and is part of the patented CDC AGO Mosquito Trap. No other company currently produces an approved sticky board for this trap. 6 types of /sticky boards have been tested by the Entomology and Ecology team and only this product provided the high capture efficiency required. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capabilities to satisfy this requirement should submit a capability statement demonstrating their abilities to meet this requirement. All responses must be received by February 7, 2017 at 0800 EDT. All responses must be in writing and can be sent via email to vrb7@cdc.gov. No phone calls will be accepted.
