This is a sources sought notice only. This notice does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Market Research is being conducted to Service Disabled Veteran owned small business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business or Hub zone interests. The Asheville North Carolina Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is trying to determine whether to set aside an Acquisition to provide ambulance transportation service at the Asheville VAMC. The scope of the acquisition includes but in not limited to: The purpose of this requirement is to furnish 24-hour ambulance transportation service for the beneficiaries of the Charles George VA Medical Center, Asheville North Carolina. This will involve trips to and from any location within the Primary Service Area (PSA) of the Charles George VA Medical Center and beyond, as appropriate. Trips are generally confined to within the PSA; however, they may encompass travel to points as far away as Salem, VA if necessary. All ALS transport units shall have at least one paramedic credentialed per North Carolina Office of EMS Guidelines. Credentialed paramedics shall be competent in managing and administration all medications as outlined in the North Carolina Board Approved Medications for Credentialed EMS Personnel.
