Description

This is a sources sought notice for market research purposes only to determine the availability of potential businesses with capabilities to provide the services described below. Potential offerors are invited to provide feedback via e-mail to Lynn.Pettit@va.gov. Responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. The intended contract period is one-year base period plus (4) four one-year option periods. Potential contractors shall provide, at a minimum, the following: 1) Company name, address, point of contact, phone number, e-mail address, and DUNS. 2) Is your firm eligible for participation in one of the following small business programs? The capabilities statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a Request for Quotation, Request for Proposal or Invitation for Bid, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather the Government is requesting a short statement regarding the company s ability to provide the services outlined in the draft SOW below. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the capabilities statement. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Statement of Work The contractor shall provide all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items necessary to provide ControlTex laundry/linen management software system to VA North Texas Health Care System. WORK TO BE PERFORMED Grant License to VA North Texas Healthcare System for web-based ControlTex software or equal. Provide onsite training to users during set up. Provide 24x7 customer service support. Software Break Fix - Labor provided remotely. Onsite labor assistance provided Monday-Friday during normal business hours, excludes Federal and contractor Holidays. Remote applications support Monday - Friday during normal business 99.9% Software Guarantee. Software Obsolescence Protection. Minor Software Releases-Remote labor included. All services for this contract must meet manufacturer performance and technical specifications, Federal Regulations, and other specifications that may apply such as National Electric Code (NEC), Life Safety Code (LSC), Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), and VA Regulations. Contractor must provide the appropriate documentation in regards to the software at no additional expense. TEXTILE SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT Acceptable software must have the capability to: Evaluate inventory management process Store data for long period of time Record linen distribution activities to eliminate losses Capable of processing data Monitor and manage linen usage Manage Textile inventory Automatically Track laundry activities Evaluate associated costs Web-based system Requires no software installation or IT-Base server installation SPECIAL WORK REQUIREMENTS Hours: Services shall be performed during regular work hours for this facility, Monday through Friday 800am to 4:30pm (CST). The contractor's representative will schedule all work with the Environment Management Services Department, building 5 Room 204 at Phone number: 214-274-4680. The contractor shall not perform any service that will result in additional charges without prior approval from the Contracting Officer. This is a sources sought notice only. The information gathered from this request is for information and planning purposes only and will not be released. This does not constitute a solicitation. No solicitation is currently published, pending, or available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be issued at a later date. Responses to requests for information are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Vendor participation in this response or any informational session is not a promise of future business with the VA. The Government is not obligated, nor shall it pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this Sources Sought Notice.
