THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. This is not a request for proposals. A solicitation will not be issued at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) has a requirement for Hoverjack Patient Lift. The intent of the procurement is to award a firm-fixed price contract. The Statement of Work (SOW) defines the effort required for the purchase and delivery of the system to the Tucson VA. Unique Features: This project encompasses patient care across the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS) continuum. Purchasing of one Evacuation HoverJacks (#HJ32EV), one 800W Grounded Air Supplies (#AIR200G), and one HoverJack Battery Transport Systems (#HJBSC-200). Equipment is required for the safe patient handling and mobility of patients, including rescuing fallen patients from the floor. It is in compliance with the SAVAHCS Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Memorandum 03-11-15, and the VHA Directive 2010-032. The ability to vertically evacuate patients in an emergency is also requirement by the VHA. Currently, Medical SubSpecialty only has the ability to vertically evacuate patients with two Stryker evacuation chairs which are shared between all outpatient areas in building 80. The Evacuation HoverJack meets the needs for additional vertical evacuation and rescuing of fallen patients from the floor. In addition, SAVAHCS has 20 Evacuation HoverJacks in use in other patient care areas, thus providing standardization, leading to improved patient safety. The Evacuation HoverJack is located in other patient care units throughout the SAVAHCS; this unit specifically would be located in Medical SubSpecialty outpatient clinic. This unit could also potentially be shared with other outpatient areas located in building 80. HoverTech representative should be available to perform training for all staff on all shifts.
