Description
This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339112. The Milwaukee VA Medical Center has a need for brand name or equal Hemotherm device. The CardioQuip Modular Cooler-Heater (MCH) brings accurate temperature control to the operating room. It is indicated to supply temperature-controlled water to heat exchange devices such as Cardiopulmonary Bypass heat Exchangers to help control a patient's temperature during extracorporeal circulatory support and/or thermal regulation procedures. The warming/cooling unit is designed to warm or cool the patient by extracorporeal heat exchange with the patient s perfused blood during heart-lung bypass procedures. Specifications: Two (2) CardioQuip 1000(i) Modular Cooler/Heater that includes: Minimal 9 gallon ice tank Wheel set All tubing and connectors provided Cardioplegia Shared Channel for cardioplegia delivery system integration Maximum dimensions: 26x16x35 in Maximum weight (empty/full/max): 85/165/258 lbs One (1) CardioQuip 1000(m) Modular Cooler/Heater Mini Ice system that includes: Maximum 2 gallon ice tank Wheel set All tubing and connectors provided 2 communications modules Maximum dimensions: 19x9x16 in Maximum Weight (empty/full/max): 45/65/76 lbs Wheel set Two (2) Communications module (RS-232 - Ethernet) General Specifications: Device must have fully validated cleaning and disinfection protocols. Touch Screen display/controls Temperature adjustment controls: 0.0-42.0 minimal range, +/- 0.5 degree Celsius accuracy, and +/- 0.1 degree Celsius increments. User must be able to set custom temperature presets for quicker access. Maximum high flow rate 20 Liters per minute Minimum low flow rate 14 Liters per minute Quick connect- water connections with GHT drain fittings. Maximum flow pressure: 83 kPa System must be able to indicate, at a minimum, the following audible alarms: Low water level, low ice level, over temperature, and system failures alarms. System must be compatible with Quest MPS Extracorporeal perfusion pumps in order to deliver cold/hot cardioplegia. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339112 and the small business size standard is 1000 employees. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 pm Central Standard Time on Thursday, January 26, 2017.
