Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division-Kansas City office intends to award, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), with Optical Scientific Inc. for visibility sensor head repair services for the NOAA National Weather Service, National Reconditioning Center located in Grandview, MO. A Sources Sought notice was posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on December 30, 2016 and closed on January 9, 2017. No responses were received. Justification for Sole Source NovaLynx Corporation has been identified as the only known source that can provide the needed items as specified below that will also meet the Government’s intended use. This procurement is for the purchase of equipment for the Cooperative Observer Program to be awarded to the only known source of supply. The Anemometer is considered intellectual property of the vendor and is proprietary. This procurement will provide logistical spares for this item for the National Logistics Support Center.
