- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION PRODUCTS SIMILAR TO HERMAN MILLER INTEGRATED MODULAR MEDICAL SUPPORT SYSTEM; CLINIC BUILDING, VAMC, JEFFERSON BARRACKS DIVISION, ST. LOUIS, MO Description The St. Louis VAMC in support of the Jefferson Barracks Major Projects is seeking information to determine availability of modular pharmacy casework equal to the IMMSS (Integrated Modular Medical Support System) manufactured by Herman Miller. This is a request for information only. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes; it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Request for Quotation (RFQ) or a promise to issue in RFQ/RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the VA is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Interested Contractors are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP/RFQ, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Background A new Clinic Building is currently under construction at the St. Louis VA Jefferson Barracks campus. The layout of the Pharmacy as designed in 2012 no longer meets the needs of the service in terms of equipment or efficiency. An updated layout of the Pharmacy will likely also become outdated in a few years. A system of modular wall panels and modular casework that allow for reconfiguration on both minor scale (relocation of drawers, cabinets and shelves) and total redesign without incurring construction will best allow the Pharmacy Service to change its work environment to stay current with ever changing technology and processes. Specification Requirements: The casework must be a modular system that is supported on vertical standards that can be mounted to both walls and modular wall panels. The hanging casework components shall be based on 24 and 48 width increments and be interchangeable with each other. Available components shall include work surfaces, drawers, shelves and cabinets with doors The finishes must be appropriate for the work done in the pharmacy; applicable codes must be applied. Requested Information Are there manufacturers/authorized dealers of this product other than Herman Miller? Are other manufacturers/authorized dealers a current GSA schedule holder; if so, identify GS Schedule and expiration date. Responses Interested parties are requested to respond to this RFI via email only to Karen.Munroe@va.gov. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. Please be advised that all submissions become Government property and will not be returned. Interested parties shall provide, at a minimum, the following information: Name Mailing Address Phone/Fax Number Email Designated Point of Contact Socio-economic status under NAICS Code 337215 (Showcase, Partition, Shelving and Locker Manufacturing) Capability Statement Questions Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing by email to the Contracting Officer, email address: Karen.Munroe@va.gov. Summary THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY to identify sources that can provide modular casework. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The VA has not made a commitment to procure any of the items discussed, and release of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
