Check-in (Badge/Conference packet pickup) will be open from 1100-1215 in the Mallette Hall lobby. A detailed agenda will be provided as an amendment to this notice, prior to the event. The Software Solarium Networking Social will be held in the Mallette Hall lobby immediately following the Industry session, from 1700-1900. The registration site specifically for the Networking Social is: https://www.missiontix.org/software-solarium-networking-social (*NOTE: The registration for this Solarium Networking Social is separate from the registration/RSVP for the Software Solarium Industry session provided above). Cost will be $30 per person - with optional cash bar. Solarium Information: The inaugural Software Solarium I was held at APG on 7 September 2016, which resulted in the identification of software related challenges, and lines of effort to address those challenges. The second Solarium, now open to industry participation, will be used to help prioritize actions associated with these lines of effort. The intent of Software Solarium II is to bring together organizations with equities in Army software, validate the Software Solarium lines of effort, present and gain concurrence of near and long-term action plans, and further refine the army software challenges. Bringing industry into this process early will enable us to collectively inform the development of long-term solutions to the software problem. For additional information regarding the intent and purpose of the Software Solarium, please see the attached ‘Software Solarium Lines of Effort' slides, as well as the following article on the results of Software Solarium I: https://www.army.mil/article/175023/inaugural_cecom_software_solarium_opens_important_conversation Attendees: We ask that no more than two (2) representatives per company attend the Software Solarium II. These representatives should be knowledgeable about the software challenges facing the Army and also about the insights and experience of their organization in dealing with these challenges. All Software Solarium attendees must be United States Citizens and meet the requirements for admission to APG, to include: proper identification (i.e. driver's license and/or common access card), car registration, or a car rental agreement, and proof of insurance. Request for Information (RFI): One of the major objectives of Software Solarium II is the inclusion of our industry partners for the purpose of helping the Army to identify potential solutions to the software challenges the Army faces now and in the future. If your organization would like to provide input to Solarium II, please take a few minutes to fill out the attached RFI Slides with examples of your organization's experience, insights, and/or recommendations on dealing with these software challenges. These slides are not an opportunity for marketing, but should focus on helping the Army to understand from your perspective (industry and academia), the challenges and potential solutions you encounter and envision in your capacity supporting the Army, as we work to modernize our software enterprise. You will not be asked to brief these slides - they will be used as additional input to government-only breakout sessions. You may also provide white paper(s) as well, as long as they are relevant to these software challenges. Please submit any RFI slides / white papers to Mr. Steve Ridings at steven.ridings.civ@mail.mil NLT COB Mon 23 Jan. Please address questions to Mr. Steve Ridings at the same email address.
