Description

This is a notification that the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) intends to extend contract services currently performed by Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. 8283 Greensboro Drive, McLean, VA 22102-3830 under a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract HQ0147-16-C-0044. The contract was previously awarded on a sole source basis under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. MDA intends to execute a contract modification to extend the existing option CLIN by two months and create one (1), additional three-month option to provide uninterrupted, high-quality continuity of operations in the MDA Chief Information Office. The current option period expires on April 30, 2017. The extension and additional option will extend services through September 30, 2017. The basis of the intended contract modification is statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541712 with a size standard of 1250 employees for subcontracting opportunities. This notice is not a request for proposals. This action will result in a modification to a "bridge" contract to extend contract services which is necessary to allow for continuity of critical contractor services until a competitive contract is awarded under the Technical, Engineering, Advisory, and Management Support (TEAMS) acquisition strategy. Any information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for enhancing competition in a future competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for information submitted. All responses must be received no later than January 20, 2017 at 2:00 pm, central time and should be submitted to John Richardson, Contracting Officer, via email john.richardson@mda.mil.
