- Pre-Solicitation Conference N61331-17-R-0003 Questions/Answers 1. Will the Government cover the cost of moving the MK-105 systems; GFI, etc. should this award not go to the incumbent? The Government will cover the costs to transfer the MK-105 GFE and GFI to a new c ontractor. Set up of jigs and fixtures are expected to be included in the first delivery o rder. 2. How does the planned award affect Incumbent 2 year remaining on the contract? The anticipated award date of the effort is October 2017, with an expected performance start date of December 2017. The timeline to award the contract is not expected to affect the incumbent contract. 3. Are there FMS systems to support? No FMS systems to support. 4. Is there any GFE associated with the depot maintenance? Yes, GFE in the form of jigs and fixtures specific to overhaul of major components and GFE in the form of spares requiring storage space. 5. What will be included in GFE? GFE will include jigs and fixtures and spare parts dependent on the scope of work for a particular delivery order. 6. What are the estimated labor hours? Estimate 94,920 labor hours per year. The Government's estimated number of hours by Task Areas will be provided in Section L of the RFP to assist the Contractor with the scope of this requirement. The formal solicitation, when issued, is the only document that should be relied upon in determining the Government's requirements. 7. Estimated space requirement? Estimate 1200 square feet of space for overhauls. The formal solicitation, when issued, is the only document that should be relied upon in determining the Government's requirements. 8. How many overhauls typically happen at one time? Typically one full system overhaul per year and two to three large component overhauls per year. T hese overhauls may be concurrent or separate. 9. Will there be key personnel? C urrently, key personnel are program manager and senior engineer. This is subject to change. The formal solicitation, when issued, is the only document that should be relied upon in determining the Government's requirements. 10. How many overhauls? The Government expects one full system overhaul per year and two to three large component overhauls per year. 11. IDIQ - is each event a separate Firm Fixed Price? Some large item overhauls may have their own separate delivery order. We try to include more than one overhaul on a delivery order if possible.
