- This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333999 (All Other Miscellaneous General Purpose Machinery Manufacturing). The Hettich Rotofix 32A and EBA 280 are known to meet the Government s needs. The Government is requesting that responsible sources respond if it can provide the following items on a brand name or equal basis: Line Item No. Description Qty Unit 0001 32ABLOODBC CENTRIFUGE, ROTOFIX 32A, 90D, BLOOD TUBE PACKAGE, (20) 13 X 75MM, (16) 16 X 75MM, 4000 RPM, 90-DEG SWING-OUT ROTOR, (4) BUCKETS, 8 ADAPTERS 1 EA 0002 280BLOOD6 CENTRIFUGE, EBA 280, 90 DEG, 6 13 X 75MM, 6 16 X 75MM 1 EA Salient Characteristics: Hettich Rotofix 32A or EQUAL: Must have a 90-degree, swing-out rotor Must have: 4 to 6 buckets with 4 to 6 adapters to fit 20-25 tubes with the size of 13x75/100mm, and 4 to 6 buckets with 4 to 6 adapters to fit 16-20 tubes with the size of 16x75/100mm 4 to 6 bio-containment bucket lids Must measure no greater than 1.5'L X 1.5'D X 2'H Hettich EBA 280 or EQUAL: Must have a 90-degree, swing-out rotor Must have 6 to 8 buckets with 6 to 8 adapters 6 to 8 buckets with 6 to 8 adapters to fit 13x75mm tubes, and 6 to 8 buckets with 6 to 8 adapters to fit 16x75mm tubes Must measure no greater than 1'L X 1.5'D X 1.5'H Interested VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; and If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 333999 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Jim Hedman at james.hedman2@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 09:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on Wednesday, December 28th, 2016.
