- Synopsis The United States Air Force through the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) at the Oklahoma City Logistics Center (OC-ALC) is contemplating procuring a cable assembly for the F100 Air Craft Engine. The requirement cited below is for a non-commercial, Firm Fixed Price (FFP). This requirement is anticipated to be non-competitive. Estimated issue date and estimated closing/response date: issued 3 Jan 2017, Closes 31 JAN 2017. Anticipated award date 28 Feb 2017 RFP# - FA8121-17-Q-0007 PR# - FD2030-16-02777 Nomenclature/Noun - Cable Assembly, Ther. NSN - 6150-01-490-4096NZ PN - 4086982 Application (Engine or Aircraft) - F100 Engine AMC - 3 / B Description: FMS Buy, Noun: Cable Assembly, Ther. Item Description Data: The cable is 19 feet long, 2 inches wide, 2 inches tall, and weighs 11 pounds. The cable can be coiled for shipping. Item Material: Copper Core, Item Function: Sends electrical signals to the DEEC for engine monitoring. L/I 0001 - Qty. 8 ea. Cable Assembly, Ther. NSN 6150-01-490-4096NZ Required Delivery - Deliver 8 units on 14 June 2017, early delivery is acceptable. Set-aside: None Export Control: No Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. To be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be an approved source IAW FAR 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed as a possible source for future awards. The government intends to make a sole source award. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. The Intended source is Unison Industries, LLC. Mandatory Language: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested parties may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from Offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
