- The 7th Contracting Squadron is seeking information concerning the availability of contractors capable of providing services required by Dyess AFB, TX for Protective Coating services. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE issued for informational and planning purposes only. This is NOT a Request for Proposal and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Any information provided in response to this notice is strictly voluntary. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this Sources Sought Notice. Information provided in response to this notice will be used to facilitate the decision making process and will not be disclosed outside the Air Force. The services required for a base-wide Protective Coating contract fall within North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 238320 - Painting and Wall Covering Contractors with a small business size standard of $15.0M. Description of Services Required: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services to perform interior and exterior protective coatings as defined in this DESCRIPTION OF WORK •1.1. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: •1.2. General Requirements : The general requirements include but are not limited to the following: •1.2.1. Exterior Paint Requirements •1.2.2. Interior Facilities Maintenance •1.2.3. Signage Program: All base signs to include base entrance, directional, organizational, building, reserved parking and traffic signs required by Unified Facilities Code (UFC) and USGSC I I and the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). •1.2.4. Pavements Marking to include Airfield Markings •1.2.5. Floor Refinishing: Wood, masonry or concrete. •1.2.6. Epoxy Flooring: Includes prep work, redo expansion joints, and three coats of approved paint. •1.2.7. Lead Based Paint Removal: Includes prep work, removal, and disposal to include all necessary protective measures. It is projected that the contract will be a firm fixed price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for base-wide Protective Coating services. Specific project requirements will be identified in individual task orders. The protective coating contractor will be expected to simultaneously accomplish a significant volume of task orders. Contractor Response: We request that contractors respond to this Sources Sought Notice with information in sufficient detail to support their capability to satisfy the requirements of a base-wide Protective Coating contract at Dyess AFB.
