Description

The Billings Area Indian Health Service intends to award a non-competitive contract to Johnson Controls, Incorporated, 2795 Enterprise Avenue, Suite 2, Billings, Montana 59102-7479, pursuant to the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements", and FAR 37.101, Non-Personal Service Contract. The purpose of the proposed contract action is to replace several components of the existing fire alarm system at the Blackfeet Community Hospital in Browning, Montana. The main component will be replaced, in addition to several of the existing end devices that are connected and part of the overall fire alarm system; e.g., horns, strobes, pull stations. Moreover, the Intelligent Fire Controller (IFC) fire alarm panel at the Blackfeet Community Hospital is integrated with Johnson Control's Metasys Building Automation System which monitors and controls the building's HVAC systems thus warranting the sole source. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement or quotation which shall be considered by the Agency. A copy of the RFQ can be obtained by submitting a request to Rita.Langager@ihs.gov. The anticipated award date is December 27, 2016.
