- Description
- The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center - Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (ERDC-CERL) in Champaign, IL has a requirement to provide independent performance testing of a novel dry-fog mold remediation and prevention process used to eliminate mold and prevent re-growth at military installations and contingency basing locations. Market research was conducted primarily via engineering experience, internet queries, and a market survey and found the only known existing dry-fog technology belongs to Pure Maintenance, a company located in Bountiful, Utah. Pure Maintenance licenses the technology to other vendors for remediation services, however, it is imperative that we contract directly with the technology owner given the extent of the demonstration, testing, evaluation, and analysis requirements of this R&D Project. Use of any other mold removal technology, other than the two-step dry-fog technology would not be valid under the proposed project. ERDC-CERL intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Pure Maintenance in accordance with FAR 13.106(b)(1). The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 562910 which has a size standard of $20,500,000.00. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement.
