- Request for Information/Notice of Intent to Sole Source This is a notification that Naval Special Warfare (NSW) intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract to Miami-dade Historical Maritime Museum, Inc., under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). NSW requires Hook and Climb Vessel Support. The vessel will be utilized for boarding scenarios that involved hook and climb techniques in the vicinity of Key West, Florida. The required vessel must be decommissioned, not requiring a Dive Supervisor to tag out machinery, intakes or discharges. No other known vessel in the Key West vicinity has the freeboard required for ship assault profiles. The services will be acquired in accordance with the format prescribed in FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Subpart 13.5, Program for Certain Commercial Items. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 532411. The size standard is $32.5M. Miami-dade Historical Maritime Museum, Inc. is currently the only known vender that can provide the required rental services necessary to meet the minimum requirements of this effort. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. The contractor identified is the only known source for the subject requirement. Responses to this notification will be used to determine if bonafide competition exists. Any such responses must be in writing and include technical capability information, which shall demonstrate contractor's ability to complete effort within required time. The Government will not pay for information submitted. All responses from responsible sources will be fully considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement action, based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received no later than 8:00AM EST, December 12, 2016. Verification of receipt of electronic transmission is the sole responsibility of the contractor. If no valid responses are received, an award shall be made to Miami-dade Historical Maritime Museum, Inc..
