Description
The United States Air Force through the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) at the Oklahoma City Logistics Center (OC-ALC) is contemplating remanufacture of unserviceable turbine nozzle supports for the TF33 Air Craft Engine. This is a Critical Safety Item. The Line Item cited below is for a non-commercial, Firm Fixed Price (FFP). This requirement is anticipated to be a competitive small business set-aside. Multiple awards are anticipated, but the Government reserves the right to make a single award to only one contractor. To be eligible for contract award, the offeror must be an approved source in accordance with FAR 52.209-1, Qualification Requirements. The Government is not required to delay contract award to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of a SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and the source will be reviewed as a possible source for future awards. (15) Set-aside Status: This effort will be a total small business set-aside. (16) Solicitation Availability: This solicitation will only be made available through fedbizopps.gov. No hard copies will be sent, but can be downloaded from fedbizopps.gov once the solicitation is posted. At the time of solicitation, all responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. (17) Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
