Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8), Orlando, FL, intends to issue solicitation no. VA248-16-Q-1743, Leica Cryostat System Maintenance Service, for the Orlando VA Medical Center, Lake Nona, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827. The scope of this procurement is to provide preventive maintenance and repair service and parts, software and hardware upgrades to most current revisions, phone support, and response to repair calls for the following Leica Cryostat equipment: Leica Model CM1900 Cryostat Leica Model CM1850 Cryostat Leica Model CM1950 Cryostat Leica Model CV5030 Cover Slipper This equipment is located at the Orlando VA Medical Center, Lake Nona Lab, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, Florida. The manufacturer is Leica Biosystems Imaging Inc., 1360 Park Center Drive, Vista, CA 92081. The Leica systems are used in the lab environment to freeze tissue samples for lab evaluation. The period of performance will be one base 12-month period beginning on/about 1 January 2017, with four option years, plus the six month 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services clause. The type of contract will be firm-fixed price. The solicitation will be issued at the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov) on/about 2 December 2016, with quotes due 13 December 2016. The NAICS Code is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, small business size standard $20.5M. Contract award will be based upon lowest price technically acceptable procedure in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106. This procurement is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. In order to be considered for award quoters must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and complete online Reps and Certs at https://www.sam.gov/. Quotes received from firms that are not classified as Small Business will not be considered, and will not be eligible for award.
