- Draft RFP documentation for NextGen requirement. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI): The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) in FY 2018 to acquire contractor support services to assist the agency with its efforts in implementing a unified communications platform based on the attached draft documentation. This requirement is known as the Next Generation Telephony Project (NextGen). The purpose of this RFI is to solicit industry input regarding the draft RFP documentation. This notice is related to a previous presolicitation notice (SSA-RFP-18-1001). Please note, this RFI is for planning purposes and shall not be considered as an invitation for bids, request for quotation, request for proposal, or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire services mentioned herein. The Government will use responses to this RFI for market research purposes. Additionally, the Government may use information received in response to this RFI to refine its acquisition strategy and the RFP documentation. The Government will not pay for information provided in response to this RFI. Future RFP Information: SSA anticipates using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12 "Acquisition of Commercial Items," in conjunction with FAR part 15 "Contracting by Negotiation" for the solicitation, evaluation, and award phases. SSA contemplates the award of a single award IDIQ contract with a 12-month base period, and nine one-year option periods. As it stands, competition will not be restricted. Requested Information: Interested parties are encouraged to review the attached documents to determine if they have the capability and experience to meet SSA's requirements. Vendors who believe they can meet the agency's requirements are encouraged to complete exhibits 1-3, which are located in Attachment A "NextGen RFI Response." RFI Attachments: The following is a list of RFI attachments and corresponding descriptions: - Attachment A "NextGen RFI Response" : This attachment includes information SSA is seeking from industry. Such information includes vendor contact information, and questions related to the draft RFP documentation. - Attachment B "Draft Statement of Work" : This attachment includes the draft statement of work for the NextGen requirement. - Attachment C "System Requirements" : This attachment includes the specifications for the NextGen requirement. - Attachment D "SSA Data Center Virtualization Infrastructure (DCVI)" : This attachment provides information regarding SSA's private cloud infrastructure. - Attachment E "HTS Architecture and Equipment" : This attachment includes a table of contents only. The purpose of this attachment is to inform industry of the sections that will be included in this attachment with the future RFP. - Attachment F "TSRP Architecture and Equipment" : This attachment includes a table of contents only. The purpose of this attachment is to inform industry of the sections that will be included in this attachment with the future RFP. - Attachment G "National 800 Number Center Architecture and Equipment" : This attachment includes a table of contents only. The purpose of this attachment is to inform industry of the sections that will be included in this attachment with the future RFP. - Attachment H "Change Asset Problem Reporting System (CAPRS)" : This attachment includes a table of contents only. The purpose of this attachment is to inform industry of the sections that will be included in this attachment with the future RFP. - Attachment I "Other SSA Systems" : This attachment provides information related to other applications interfaced with SSA's current telephony system. - Attachment J "Service Level Agreements (SLAs)" : This attachment provides the service level agreements associated with the NextGen requirement. - Attachment K "Pricing Tables Instructions" : This attachment provides the instructions for completing the pricing tables for the NextGen requirement. - Attachment L "Pricing Tables" : This attachment includes the draft pricing tables for the NextGen requirement. - Attachment M "Draft Evaluation Factors" : This attachment includes the draft evaluation factors SSA intends to use for the NextGen requirement.
