- Please note this solicitation is not ready to be issued as of this date. The U.S. Tri-Mission in Rome, Italy will launch the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website when it is available. The solicitation covers incoming and outgoing shipments of household goods, personal effects, vehicles, official supplies and equipment as well as intra-city moving services for the US Tri-Mission in Rome and the US Consulate General in Florence, Italy. Furthermore, the solicitation contemplates separate unilateral options for the inclusion of the US Consulates General in Naples and Milan. The Contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative, and direct labor personnel to perform all services as required in the contract. The Government reserves itself the right to proceed with a multiple-award. Anticipated performance is for one base period and four one-year periods at the option of the U.S. Government. These requirements may change depending on funding availability in forthcoming periods. International shipping services: Total estimated poundage per year kg 680.000. Intra-city moves: Total estimated number of trips per year 440. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered. The Government plans to issue the solicitation in December 2016. Please note that in order to be eligible for a US Government award SAM registration is required pursuant to FAR provision 5.207. Prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations. No electronic offers will be accepted. Please mail your offer to the contracting office listed in this notice prior to the response date and time.
