Description

This notice serves as a synopsis of a presolicitation notice/proposed contract action. The Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Rapid Acquisition Cell (PZJ) Contracting Office, AFLCMC/PZJ, located at 205 West D Avenue, Building 350, Suite 420, Eglin Air Force Base, FL, 32542, intends to award one (1) sole source contract to AC, Inc. 1085 Jordan Rd, Huntsville AL, 35811. The contract will be for 70 Shipping Containers for Standoff Precision Guided Munitions (SOPGM). There is an immediate requirement for shipping containers for SOPGM operations. AC, Inc. is currently the sole manufacturer capable of meeting the required delivery of 60 days after receipt of order and has specialized tooling, equipment, and subject matter expertise required to manufacture the containers in the required specifications. The need is immediate, therefore an award to any other source would result in unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements. The anticipated award date is Dec 2016. This notice of contract action is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the Government. Interested responsible sources may identify their interest and submit a capability statement in response to this notice. In your response, indicate your business size (large, small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), women-owned, HUBZone, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned) and specify whether the firm is U.S. or foreign-owned. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred preparing proposals in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A sources sought/solicitation may be posted in the near future in order to obtain competition for future contracts. Any responses to this notice of the proposed contract action shall be submitted to Catherine Hodge at catherine.hodge.2@us.af.mil no later than 2 Dec 2016, 1:00 PM CST.
