Description
The scope includes all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and disposal required to remove and replace air handlers AC-2, AC-3 and exhaust fan EF-3 fan motor; provide building automation system (BAS) for AC-2, AC-3 and associated exhaust fans; and completely remove and provide a new insulation for ductwork, plenums and louver blank-off panels located in the Penthouse Mechanical Room, at USCG Academy Smith Hall. There are known hazardous materials associated with this project (mold in mechanical room ductwork). Existing air handlers AC-2 and AC-3 are both 40+ years old. Period of Performance: Award is anticipated to be made in late January 2017. The overall period of performance is estimated to be 6 months with work on-site construction 1 May-29 July 2017. The Academy has a comprehensive construction schedule as all work must be completed during the period when no classes are being conducted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220, with a small business size standard of 15 million. The estimates value od the procurement is between $500,000 and $750,000. Performance and/or payment bonds will be required. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 14. Pursuant to FAR Part 19.5 Small Business set-aside procedures, this solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
