Description
Contractor shall begin all cuts 3 minimum from existing diagonal cracking. Maintain square repairs at all times, 12x12 minimum size. Minimum cut depth shall be 6 in depth. Over cuts shall extend 4 minimum. All over cuts shall be sealed using Government approved elastomeric joint sealer. 2. Jackhammer out the broken concrete and clean out the holes for the placement of new concrete. Construction joints/saw-cut corners and edges shall be free of spall greater than 1/4 inch. Subsurface shall be prepared to provide uniform subsurface to maintain uniform depth of 6, free of any intrusion of existing subsurface material into newly placed concrete repairs. Bond all repair surfaces with minimum 8000psi.epoxy concrete bonding agent. Manufacturer ™s application instructions shall be followed at all times. Bonding agent shall be approved by the Government. All cast in place repairs shall be flush with existing finish elevations. Strike, float, and trowel finish. Final finish shall be free of voids, medium broom desired. Seal with spray concrete cure and seal immediately after final finish. 3. All existing control joints shall continue through new repairs using removable form methods or saw-cutting to full depth of repair. All cuts and control joints for new repairs shall be sealed with Government approved joint sealant materials. Final depth of all joint sealant shall be 1/4 inch below finish elevation, +/- 1/8.
