Statement of Work Request for Quotation details including: THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6-STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS-AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A SEPARATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. THE SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED USING SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 13.5 SIMPLIFIED PROCEDURES FOR CERTAIN COMMERCIAL ITEMS. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a Contractor to produce 800kg of Douglas-fir wood pieces with the following dimensions: 7.9 mm (height) by 7.9 mm (width) by 12.7 mm (length). The associated NAICS code for this requirement is 321219 - Reconstituted Wood Product Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 750 employees. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-91. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses.
