- Description
- Equipment List Scenario Questions Performance Work Statement PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION: We are conducting market research to identify potential 8(a) sources that may possess the expertise, capabilities and experience to meet the requirements for cleaning Industrial Plant equipment/facilities. Equipment to be cleaned includes paint facilities (booths and bays), plating and rinse tanks, degreasers, sanding booths, robotic equipment and room, metal band saw, trench drains, paint stripping booth, storm drains, floor recovery systems, vacuum systems, grit blast system, parts cleaner, air flow tunnels and vent plenum drain screens, stripping bay, water wash grinding booths and dust collectors. Many of the industrial equipment processes produce hazardous residue and waste. We have sanding booths, grinding booths, and paint booths that need filter change-outs that may be contaminated with heavy metals, plating tanks that require charging with new chemicals, extraction of chemicals, cleaning, and wiping free of residues, industrial waste trench drains and air tunnels that need to be cleaned, and equipment that needs cleaning and wiping down. The plating tanks we have are for chemical mill, etching, chrome, various acids, stripping, degreasing, and rinse. These equipment cleaning services require proper containment (packaging and labeling) and transportation of hazardous waste to the Hazardous Waste Processing Facility on Robins AFB, GA. Our acquisition strategy is a minimum of 3 years (basic plus 2 option years) up to a 6.5 year contract (basic plus 5.5 option years). The projected quantities are for 189 different pieces of equipment or facilities with 262 cleaning frequencies required; there are multiple frequencies on the same equipment (i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, 60 days, 90 days, 180 days, etc.).
