Description
DESCRIPTION: This is a Sources Sought announcement. There is no RFQ available at this time. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Regional Office (VARO) Sioux Falls, SD is conducting market research to determine the existence of companies that can perform the following: The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies and supervision necessary to expand the existing Physical Access Control System (PACS) at the Sioux Falls VA Regional Office. The current PACS panel is a Johnson Controls system. Place of Performance: Sioux Falls VA Regional Office, 2501 W. 22nd Street, Building 38, Sioux Falls, SD 57105. Performance Requirements The card reader selection must be FIPS 201 compliant, meet the requirements to interoperate with the existing physical access control system. The contractor shall furnish and install one (1) each of the card reader, electric strike, request-to-exit and door position switch for each selected door except as indicated below for door 137. The following are the model and description of the aforementioned materials for each selected door: Doors 105, 107-north, 107-south, and 108A Four (4) HID pivCLASS ® R40, Reader, Proximity, PIV Multi-Class, black Four (4) HES-1006, Electric Strike, Fail-Secure, 24VDC Four (4) DS-160, Request-to-Exit Motion Sensor, White Four (4) 1076, Door Position Switch, Recessed Door 129-closet One (1) HID pivCLASS ® RK40, Reader, Proximity, PIV Multi-Class, black One (1) HES-1006, Electric Strike, Fail-Secure, 24VDC One (1) DS-160, Request-to-Exit Motion Sensor, White One (1) 1076, Door Position Switch, Recessed Door 137 Move the HID pivCLASS ® R40, Reader, Proximity, PIV Multi-Class, black from Door 141 to Door 137 Move the DS-160, Request-to-Exit Motion Sensor, White from Door 141 to Door 137 One (1) 1076, Door Position Switch, Recessed One (1) HES-1006, Electric Strike, Fail-Secure, 24VDC The contractor shall remove the standalone keypads and return the equipment to the VA and install a replacement door sleeve over this area on the door. Standalone keypads are on doors 105,107-north, 108A, 129-closet, and 137. The Vendor shall furnish all labor, machinery, freight and delivery, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to accomplish the required work to include but not limited to: 1 Lot, Low Voltage Cable 1 Lot, Electrical Materials 1 Lot, Labor, Door Hardware Installation/Retrofit 1 Lot, Labor, Electrical Installation 1 Lot, Labor, Panel Terminations 1 Lot, Labor, System Programming, Testing and Certification All cabling will be plenum rated to match the existing installation. Cabling will be hung in cable tray, conduit, or properly suspended. The contractor shall replace any existing doors and frames that are non-compliant with the installation requirements presented by the PACS installation. Work includes all material, equipment, labor pertaining to installation and repair, and infrastructure necessary to the replacement of doors and hardware to items that are PACS compliant. Any interested and qualified sources are requested to provide a brief capabilities statement and a letter of interest to Eural Bennett via email to eural.bennett1@va.gov. As part of your capability statement please include any current or past contracts you have been awarded or the ability to obtain sufficient proof of capability for this type of contract. In addition include what socio-economic category your company qualifies as (i.e Small Business, SBA Certified HUB Zone Firm, SBA Certified Small Disadvantaged Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Veteran Owned Business, Woman Owned Business). Any information provided is strictly voluntary. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. To be considered in this research, please provide the information above not later than 12:00 PM CST on November 7, 2016.
