- The U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground, Mission Installation Contracting Command, is seeking sources that can provide software license renewals for ANSYS Fluent Software. The requiring activity for this procurement is the West Desert Test Center, U.S. Army, Dugway Proving Ground, Utah. This announcement serves as notification of the Government's intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with ANSYS, Inc., 2600 ANSYS Dr., Canonsburg, PA 15317. A determination on the contract type, the mechanism for procuring the services and possible set-aside, will not be made by the Government until after the market research has been completed. No proposals are being requested or accepted under this synopsis. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 511210 and the size standard is $38.5M. All qualified companies are encouraged to respond. Responses to this Request for Information (RFI) announcement should include the following information: (a) Business name and address. (b) Name of company representative including their business title. (c) Relevant details concerning experience in providing this specific type of software lease/supply. For example, identify any past relationships and/or experiences with providing this or like products to the Government's chemical and biological programs at West Desert Test Center. (d) Business size as it relates to the NAICS code (511210) and size standard ($38.5M) stated within this RFI (sources sought) announcement. (e) Contract types typically used for these types of services. (f) Other contract possibilities that may be available to the Government for the procurement of these services, including General Service Administration (GSA), Federal Supply Schedules or any other Department of Defense contracts. Procedures: This RFI is a required component of a complete and systematic process to evaluate interested sources, in order to minimize cost both to potentially interested sources and the Government. Interested sources are encouraged to submit product literature and/or catalog cut sheets in response to this RFI. Please note that any submission of product literature or catalog cut sheets will be treated separate from any future formal Request for Quotes. Product literature or catalog cut sheets submitted toward this RFI will have no bearing on any subsequent evaluation of proposals submitted in response to any resulting future, formal Request for Quotes. Interested sources should provide a proclamation of interest on company letterhead (not to exceed 20 pages in length) to: U.S. Army, Dugway Proving Ground Attn: CCMI-CHD-DP (Bobby Potter, Purchasing Agent) Dugway Proving Ground, Dugway, Utah 84022-5000. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as the result of a response to this RFI (SOURCES SOUGHT), or Government use of any information provided. Intricate proposals or pricing information are not required, neither are they anticipated. However, any innovative and/or new conceptual ideas to achieve the stated objective are encouraged. No solicitation document exists for this RFI (sources sought). This notice (RFI) is for informational purposes only. It is not a request for proposals, nor should it be interpreted as a commitment by the Government. The Government shall not pay for any effort expended toward responses provided for this RFI (sources sought). Additional Description Note: Require licenses for Computational Fluent Dynamics Software-used for modeling of fluid flow and heat transfer. Maintenance of CAD Software and post processing software. Software is used in the modeling and simulation support of engineering that supports West Desert Test Center. The required list of software licenses is listed as follows: ANSYS FLUENT Network License - 2 each ANSYS FLUENT Parallel Licenses - 8 each ANSYS FLUENT HPC Pack (bundle of 8 licenses) - 1 each ANSYS CFD PrepPost -1 each ANSYS SpaceClaim Design Modeler - 2 each
