Description

FAR 6.302-1 J&A for APR 498-0003-17 HHM402-17-Q-0002_Pt 2 of 2_pp 21-40 of 40 HHM402-17-Q-0002_Pt 1 of 2_pp 01-20 of 40 Market research indicates that commercial maintenance services for a Kodak NexPress 2500, a five-color digital press, and for a Kodak NexGlosser, an attachment to the press, are available only from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Eastman Kodak Company. Defense Intelligence Agency intends to solicit and negotiate with the OEM for a new maintenance contract of up to five years' duration (e.g., Base + four Option Years) for the equipment described in the attached solicitation document, which also contains the Statement of Work (SOW) as well as required Ts & Cs. Funding is not yet certified for this requirement. Consequently, this RFQ is issued Subject To Availability of Funding (STAOF), and provides no guarantee of award; however, the Requirement Owner is actively working the situation and a fund-certified Purchase Requisition (PR) is anticipated. Presently we are coordinating documents under an Acquistion Planning Record (APR), which is the nascent form of a PR. This Synopsis/Solicitation provides notice of this Agency's intent to contract with Eastman Kodak Company, using the sole-source authority at FAR 6.302-1. From this perspective, it may also be considered as a sources sought notice, as "all responsible sources may submit a capability statment, prposal or quotation which shall be considered by the agency," if timely received.
