- Description
- The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) is responsible for the management and security of the nation's nuclear weapons, nuclear nonproliferation, and naval reactor programs. It also responds to nuclear and radiological emergencies in the United States and abroad. Additionally, NNSA federal agents provide safe and secure transportation of nuclear weapons and components and special nuclear materials along with other missions supporting the national security. The work specified under this contract requires specialized subject matter expertise to provide direct technical support to key programmatic missions in support of the NNSA. The Contractor shall provide technical support and subject matter expertise in the continued execution of the NNSA Program Management Information System, Generation 2 (G2). Specifically, the contractor shall oversee, implement, and update the G2 software quality assurance (QA) program for the NNSA throughout the system's ongoing operation, maintenance and development. The primary focus of the G2 QA contractor shall be: (1) to accurately report the state of the G2 product such that good decisions are made (e.g., whether to deploy with known defects), (2) to validate that defined requirements have been satisfied for a release prior to its deployment and (3) to determine whether the resulting application meets expectations. The QA team will ensure that the delivered G2 system is tested in a systematic fashion; during the development process with incremental testing, prior to each release with comprehensive integration testing and continually validated against approved requirements. The implemented QA methodology must provide an unbiased perspective of system activities and feature development. In addition to product validation, QA activities will include reviews of the overall user experience, alignment with customer expectations, ease of use, and product consistency. Specific Contractor responsibilities include, but are not limited to: acceptance testing, release coordination, data quality analysis, system documentation and training.
