- Description
- This is a pre-solicitation notice. The AFLCMC/EBK Contracting Office at Robins AFB, GA has a requirement to manufacture the SR-116 Rocket Motor, NSN 1337-01-074-0479, Part Number 776740-3. The SR-116 Rocket Motors are for the propulsion of the AIM-9P Sidewinder Missiles, which is the short-range air-to-air missiles used by several Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. Sole Source to Alliant Techsystems Operations, LLC (CAGE: 70272); in accordance with FAR 6.302-4, International Agreement. The Government intends to award a five-year, firm-fixed price, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity Contract. The RFP and resultant contract will be structured with a basic ordering period of 12 months and four additional 1 year ordering periods. The Minimum and Maximum quantities for each ordering period is listed below. However, the Governments minimum obligation is 833 units. Basic Ordering Period: 833 each; Ordering Period I: 1-240 each; Ordering Period II: 1-480 each; Ordering Period III: 1-480 each; Ordering Period IV: 1-467 each A First Article test may be required for this requirement. Details to be provided in the solicitation. The Government does not own a complete Technical Data Package (TDP). Delivery requirements will be 365 calendar days after receipt of delivery order, then 70 per month until order is complete. Delivery Location will be specified in each order. FAR Part 15 procedures will be utilized. The anticipated award date is August 2017. Offeror shall prepare their proposals in accordance with mandatory, explicit and detailed instructions contained in the RFP. The solicitation will not be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website if there are any requests please contact POCs below. NO HARD COPIES WILL BE PROVIDED. However, the identity of the potential offeror will not be included. Offerors are encouraged to register to receive notification for solicitation and all amendments/revisions and to check the FEDBIZOPPS site prior to submission of proposals.
