- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. No Solicitation is currently available. All information contained in this Sources Sought Announcement is preliminary, as well as subject to modification, and is in no way binding on the Government. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this request. The information requested will be used solely within the Department of Veterans Affairs to facilitate decision making and will not be disclosed outside of the Government. The determination of a procurement strategy, based upon the comments submitted in response to this Sources Sought Announcement, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance, and the small business size standard is $7.5M. Potential Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for an award (See Internet Site https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/). Potential Offerors must also have a current Online Representations and Certification Application on file with SAM. Description of Services To ensure a clean and healthy environment of care, the VA Central California Healthcare System (VA CCHCS) Medical Center requires regular reoccurring maintenance to all air handling units (AHU) on site. The medical center desires a multi-year option maintenance contract to obtain these services. The awarded vendor shall provide materials and labor to chemically clean air handler heat exchanger coils (air side only), direct expansion (DX) packaged ducted and ductless split unit evaporator and corresponding condensing unit coils, replace disposable air filters, clean reusable type filters, and replace fan belts for all facility air handling units. Greasing of motor and fan bearings will also be included. The quantity, type, material of construction and MERV ratings of each AHU s filters will be determined by the Government and provided to the awarded party via the contracting officer s representative (COR). Sizes and suitability of the material list provided by the government shall be confirmed by the vendor to ensure accuracy. The frequency for replacement of the filters and cleaning of coils for each unit will be determined by an existing preventative maintenance schedule provided within the acquisition package. The awarded party will be responsible for providing, handling and disposing of all materials needed; additionally, at no time shall spent / used materials be stored on the facility property. All materials are to be installed per the AHU and the part manufacturers specifications. The Period of Performance will be for 1 year with 4 Option Years. The Government requests that interested parties provide the following capability information to the Contract Specialist, Parvinder Brar by e mail at: Parvinder.brar@va.gov by close of business October 26, 2016: (a) Business Size (Large/Small) (b) Business Socio-Economic Status (SDVOSB, WOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, etc.) (c) SAM record (www.sam.gov) (d) DUNS number (e) Ability and experience with similar projects. (f) List of projects similar in scope. (g) GSA Contract Number if applicable The Government will use this information when determining its business type decision.
