Description

This is a sources sought notice only and it is not a solicitation announcement. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to gain knowledge of qualified potential contractors and their socio-economic size classification in accordance with NAICS code 561710. Responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses to this sources sought notice, a solicitation announcement may be posted to GSA's e-BUY or to FBO.gov. A response to this sources sought notice is not an adequate reply to the forthcoming solicitation. The VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIVAHCS), with a medical center located in Omaha Nebraska and Community Based Outreach Clinics (CBOCs) located in Grand Island, Lincoln, Holdrege, and Norfolk Nebraska and Shenandoah Iowa has a current need for Integrated Pest Management Services. The services include, but are not limited to the following: A.The Contractor shall provide routine General Maintenance treatments to control and manage the following: 1) general structural arthropod pests to include cockroaches, ants, carpet beetles, spiders, carpenter ants, stable flies, blowflies, etc. 2) nuisance or occasional invader pests to include bees, wasps, scorpions, pill bugs, crickets, etc. 3) stored product pests to include sawtooth grain beetles, red/confused flour beetles, trogoderma beetles, grain moths, etc. 4) mice and rats to include house mouse, field mouse, roof rat, Norway rat, etc. 5) aquatic pests to include mosquito larvae/pupae, algae, etc. B.The Contractor shall provide and maintain Flying Insect Lights to control flies and flying insects throughout the flying insect season. C.The Contractor shall provide non-routine treatments for the following on an as needed basis: 1) parasitic pests to include lice, fleas, mites, ticks, mosquitoes, etc. 2) pest birds to include pigeons, sparrows, blackbirds, etc. 3) wildlife and other vertebrate pests to include bats, squirrels, gophers, moles, skunks, snakes, rabbits, etc. D.The Contractor will arrive on-site within 4 hours for any emergency requests for non-routine treatments. E.Provide a termite inspection and submit findings and recommendations. F.Contractor will remove all carcasses from the premises. G.In addition to the above, PMP services are to be performed on the building's exterior. This will include all buildings on the property. H.Bed bug treatments for patient care rooms include individual patient rooms with rest room, exam rooms, and treatment rooms. The VA will remove all cloth and materials from the patient care rooms prior to treatment. These rooms are not carpeted and do not have wooden beds or exposed mattresses. Bed bug treatments for non-patient care areas include waiting rooms, lobby areas, and public restrooms, etc. The waiting rooms and lobby areas may include wooden furniture, drapes and may be carpeted. I.The Contractor will arrive on-site and treat within 4 hours for any requests for bed bug treatments reported. The need for bed bug treatments may occur at any time seven days a week. Additionally, a response to this sources sought notice is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The purpose of this sources sought notice is strictly for market research purposes. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
