Description
This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract and is not a request for competitive proposals. Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) intends to solicits a proposal and enter into a contract with Liberian Institute for Biomed ICAL Research, Charlesville, Egypt. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is 10 U. S. C. 2304(c)(1) per FAR 6.302-1(c). The NAICS code for this 541990. Naval Health Research Center requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made unless the vendor is registered in SAM. For additional information and to register to SAM, please access the following website https://www.sam.gov/. In order to register with SAM and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a DUN & Bradstreet Number. Description: Component of a non-personnel services contract to support Laboratory and Field based biosurveillance in Liberia in support of Acute Febrile Illness and Acute Infectious Neurological Disease Surveillance in Liberia under the protocols "ARBOVIRUS-ASSOCIATED ACUTE FEBRILE ILLNESS IN LIBERIA: EXPLORATION OF INCIDENCE AND ETIOLOGY" and "ACUTE INFECTIOUS NEUROLOGICAL DISEASE (AIND) SURVEILLANCE IN HOSPITALIZED PATIENTS IN BONG COUNTY LIBERIA: IDENTIFICATION OF THE VIRAL ETIOLOGY."
