- Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates entering into a purchase order with the Atlanta Marriott Century Center in 2000 Century Blvd NE, Atlanta GA. This acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items in conjunction with FAR Part 13. The anticipated Solicitation issue date is Sept. 23, 2016. The Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Fall Course directly corresponds to the mission of CDC as an agency and more specifically, to the Division of Scientific Education and Professional Development (DSEPD) and the Epidemiology Workforce Branch (EWB). Annually, the EIS Fall Course provides the EIS/LLS Classes with the basic skills necessary for the two-year training through service in applied epidemiology. The information will provide a foundation to apply epidemiology successfully to a wide variety of public health issues during the two year training and beyond. Under this order, the order, the Atlanta Marriott will provide meeting rooms and audio visual needs to carry out this event. Fall Course Meeting Room Space & AV will be required during November 14-18, 2016 and December 5-9, 2016. It is imperative that the hotel be within a 5 miles distant from the CDC campus, where the Tuesday Morning Seminar (TMS) will be broadcast and has the space and equipment necessary for these meeting. To the best of our knowledge, only the Atlanta Marriott offers this close proximity and the appropriate meeting space to accommodate all attendees. However, all responsible sources who wish to be considered may submit an expression of interest addressing the requirements of the RFQ for our review prior to the RFQ closing date. The RFQ and any amendments issued will be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov when issued. No hard copies of the RFQ and amendments will be mailed. Please note Funds are not currently available for the award. This RFQ is subject of funds availability during FY 2017.
