Description
This is a synopsis notice for hardware and recurring wireless cell phone service for the Public Works Department at United States Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The procuring contracting office is NAVFAC Southeast, Bldg. 903, P.O. Box 30, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL 32212. The primary point of contact is Rebecca Jones, Contract Specialist, (904) 542-8816. The proposed solicitation number is N69450-16-Q-2114. The acquisition is for forty (40) Apple iPhone 16GB cell phones and wireless service. Thirty-two (32) of the cell phones require unlimited talk and text voice services and eight (8) require unlimited talk and text and 5GB of data services. The hardware and recurring wireless cell phone service will be provided for the Public Works Department at U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The proposed contract type is a firm-fixed price purchase order utilizing the policies and procedures of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in conjunction with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The primary NAICS Code for this procurement is 517210 and the annual small business size standard is 1,500 employees. The term of the wireless service under the purchase order is anticipated to be a one-year base period with two one-year option periods. If the Government does not award a follow-on contract in time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six months under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services clause. The delivery date for the hardware is anticipated to be three days after the date of purchase order award. The proposed purchase order is for hardware and wireless cell phone service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only T-Mobile USA, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i), since they are the only Contractor who currently possesses a contract to provide cell phone service at U.S. Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
