Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans SAO West NCO 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center, 4100 E. Mississippi Avenue Suite 900, Glendale, CO 80246 intends to enter into sole source Purchase Order Agreement authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source purchase order to Neuwave Medical, Inc., 3529 Anderson Street. Madison, WI 53704 a small business. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334510 and the Business Size Standard is 1,250 employees. The contractor shall provide the Eastern Colorado Health Care System with the proprietary/name brand Certus 140 System. To include the following features; the use of 2.5GHz microwave energy, the ability to power up 3 probes simultaneously using a single system. A CO2 based cooling system enabling physicians to safely generate up to 140 Watts of power on a single channel utilizing standard E-sized medical grade CO2 cylinders used in a hospital setting. The unique computer controlled system of the Neuwave Certus 140 now includes Ablation Confirmation software, offering the only integrated in-procedure confirmation to evaluate the technical success of ablation procedure. NeuWave Medical's Certus 140 ablation system uses a high-powered computer and intuitive touchscreen interface to enable activation of single or simultaneous multiple probe procedures for patients with soft tissue lesions. The multi-probe synchronized energy delivery allows physicians to tailor ablations with 1, 2 or 3 probes. This allows physicians to effectively tailor ablations for lesions of varying shapes and sizes. This is unique to Neuwave. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the U.S. Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 1:00 PM Eastern Time, Thursday, September 22nd, 2016. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.
