- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Stennis Space Center (SSC) is seeking interested parties with the possibility of contracting for a vendor capable of providing Mail Box type services at SSC in Building 1100. The services under consideration are selling postage stamps, metered postage, self-service machine, package shipping and selling packaging products and services. We would also consider photo copying, custom printing, binding and presentation preparation and other services generally associated with this type service. SSC would as well consider shredding services along with the other services, but not as a stand-alone service. Vendors are invited to respond with whatever services they think would make for a profitable venture along with the main request of mail box type services. Stennis Space Center enjoys promoting efficiency, convenience, morale and welfare to its employees. Due to SSC's somewhat remote location it can be difficult for employees to get to a local postal service during normal working hours. SSC's general working hours are from 7:00am to 5:00 pm Monday -Friday. Outside of those hours there is little to no business traffic in building 1100. Building 1100 at SSC is the main administrative building which houses most of the center's services such as the Cafeteria, PJ's, Subway, two (2) banks, dry cleaners, barber shop, NASA Exchange store and ATM. The service that we are seeking would be available to roughly 5,000 people that work at SSC. Stennis Space Center will administer the basic agreement. Based upon information submitted by companies, NASA will determine the final content of the future solicitation or solicitations. Vendors interested in providing the above services shall submit Capability Statements/Business Ideas electronically, via e-mail, to the primary Point of Contact (POC) listed below. The Capability Statement shall NOT exceed three (5) pages (including attachments) and shall be submitted in Times New Roman with a minimum 12 font size. The Capability Statement/Business Idea shall include the following information: (1) Company's name, address, primary POC and telephone number, (2) Describe your ability/ capabilities to respond to the need. It is not sufficient to provide only general brochures or generic information, please provide details on how you could support SSC and (3) provide us with your minimum space requirement needed for operation. NOTICE: Copies of your Capability Statement may be made available to prospective offerors in the future. Therefore, it should not contain company-sensitive information. Your response is due no later than September 30, 2016. Please reference NNS17MAILRFI01 in any response. SSC is also interested in contractor feedback related to suggestions for contract type and subcontracting opportunities. This feedback may be used as research information to support the analysis and development of any formal arrangement. This feedback should also be provided electronically via e-mail to the primary POC by September 30, 2016. Any questions shall be submitted in writing via e-mail to the POC listed below to be used for consideration in the development of the requirements.
