- Redacted Sole Source Justificaiton PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Department of the Navy (DoN) intends to negotiate a one-time sole source contract with Bayer Health Care, 100 Global View DR, Warrendale, PA 15086. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(6)(1)(i). This notice will be distributed through the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring FBO the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 811219, Maintenance of Electronic Precision Equipment; the size standard is 20.5 million dollars. The Department of the Navy (DoN) intends to award a non-competitive, sole source contract to Bayer Health Care, 100 Global View DR, Warrendale, PA 15086 for Full Service Maintenance and provider of Medrad Stellant CT Injection System Maintenance and is the only service provider that meets DON's requirements. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government it has been determined DON's requirement can only be provided by Bayer Healthcare as they are the sole provider of the CT Injection System Maintenance and holds all data, machinery and processes for production and service of this equipment. Sole-Source Justification is attached This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 10 AM, EST, September 19, 2016. Questions may be made by email to the attention of Sherri Roche, Contract Specialist, at Sherri.d.roche.civ@mail.mil. Facsimile offers will not be accepted. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
