- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, is seeking contractors for the "FY16 Boardman River Dam Removal and River Restoration project. The place of performance is Traverse City, Michigan. The project consist of four major components, and includes installation and maintenance of erosion and sedimentation control measures for each: 1. The breaching and removal of the Boardman Dam earthen embankment; 2. Restoration of the Boardman River for approximately 10,000 linear feet from Sabin Pond through the extents of the former Boardman impoundment; 3. Demolition and removal of the Boardman Dam powerhouse, intake works and existing Cass Road Bridge; and 4. Construction of 400 linear feet of Cass Road roadway. General Information: The estimated price range of construction is between $5 Million and $10 Million. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, which has a size standard of $36.5 Million in average annual receipts. This project will be advertised as unrestricted (Full and Open competition). The Government intends to issue a firm-fixed price contract. Approximate solicitation posting date: Late September 2016 to Early October 2016 Award for this requirement will be determined via a "best value" tradeoff process, where price and other evaluation factors will be considered. Identification of significant evaluation factors and sub-factors will be duly noted within the solicitation documents, once issued. The "best value" solicitation and evaluation process will be conducted in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15. The issued Request for Proposal (RFP) will set forth the requirements for responding to the solicitation, as well as all evaluation factors and sub-factors. The solicitation package materials, documents, drawings, specifications, and attachments to the anticipated solicitation will be available only electronically and via FedBizOpps at www.fbo.gov. Hard copy documents will NOT be supplied by the Government to any interested parties as a result of this solicitation. Please note that the Government will not be maintaining a bidders list during the solicitation period. However, vendors are strongly encouraged to review the "Interested Vendors List" tab found on the FedBizOpps website for this solicitation. In order for interested contractors to conduct business with the Federal Government, contractors must register their firm at the System for Award Management (SAM). Contractors can access SAM for free at www.sam.gov.
