- NATIONAL TRANSIT INSTITUTE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL #3098 NATIONAL TRANSIT DATABASE (URBAN REPORTING) ( TBP-05) AND/OR USING THE TRANSIT ECONOMIC REQUIREMENTS MODEL (TERM-Lite) ANALYSIS TOOL (TBP-07) Date for receipt of proposals : Tuesday, November 1, 2016 by 2:00 PM (EST) The National Transit Institute (NTI) is seeking proposals from qualified professionals to facilitate the following existing courses : National Transit Database (Urban Reporting ) and Using the Transit Economic Requirements Model (TERM-Lite) Analysis Tool. In addition, NTI may periodically request proposers to edit/update the existing course materials. Proposers may submit proposals for either one or both courses and must so indicate their desire in their submission. NTI's National Transit Database (Urban Reporting) course is a two-day training course designed to help transit professionals learn the necessary skills for reporting urban data to the National Transit Database (NTD) internet reporting website. The National Transit Database (NTD) is an annual reporting requirement that the Federal Transit Act requires transit operating grantees to comply with. The goal of the course is to help transit professionals learn the necessary skills for reporting urban data and to understand the proper data to submit. NTI's Using the Transit Economic Requirements Model (TERM-Lite) Analysis Tool course is a two-day training course to instruct the novice user on the design, intended uses, and hands-on application of TERM-Lite. The course is taught using a combination of basic asset management principles and hands-on exercises guided by the instructor. TERM-Lite is an MS Access based analysis tool designed to help transit agencies perform the following analysis: estimate current state of good repair backlog; predict levels of annual investment; assess impact of variations in funding; assess impact of investment priorities.
