Description
Attachment J-4 Work Item Pricing, Labor, and Material Burden Rates Attachment J-3 Request for Specification Clarification Attachment J-2 Reference Information Sheet Attachment J-1 Work Items N55236-16-R-0023 Solicitation Accomplish the Emergent Docking Availability of the USS HOWARD (DDG-83). This reqirements is being competed using unusual and compelling procedures in accordance with 10.U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-2 (b) under NAICS 336611. The successful offeror will be required to have a Southwest Regional Maintenance Center approved Quality System (IAW NAVSEA Standard Item 009-04), approved and in place at time of contract award. The USS HOWARD(DDG-83) will require an estimated 45 days in dry dock. Dry dock must be a Navy certified dry dock. The projected availability dates are 30 September 2016 through 9 December 2016. Other considerations for this docking: The USS HOWARD is displacing (weighing) 9,200 long tons. The certified lifting of the dry dock would handle that on a tons per foot basis. The draft of the ship, including the projections of the sonar dome and propellers is at 30.5 ft. The docking will require a 12 foot keel height. The USS HOWARD is an Arleigh Burke class destroyer. Dimensions are: Length Overall: 509 feet, 6 inches. Breadth: 66 feet Depth: 30.5 feet Responses to this RFP may be submitted by hard copy of email to joaquin.alvarez@navy.mil not later than 2:00 PM (PST) on 19 September 2016.
