Description
NASA-JSC has a requirement for 1 Lot of 2,000 Tested Samsung Lithium Ion Batteries with P/N ICR 18650-26F. NASA-JSC intends to purchase a quantity of 1 Lot of 2,000 Tested Samsung Lithium Ion Batteries with P/N ICR 18650-26F Cells directly from ABSL Power Solutions, Inc. ABSL Power Solutions, Inc will provide cell and battery testing, battery assembly, and battery verification in support of inventory replenishment of lithium ion cells and batteries used to power the spacesuit and enhance astronaut and mission performance during Extra Vehicular Activity from the Internal Space Station. All cells must be manufactured from the lot with the same date code. All cells must be of highest grade quality for that cell design. Evidence of the chain of custody of the cells from the manufacturer to NASA-JSC must be provided. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time September 19, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
