- Description
- Area of Consideration is Wise County, VA, specifically within the town limits of both Norton, VA and Wise, VA A. Statement of Requirements. The Government is seeking to enter into a lease for space meeting the following requirements: City, State:Wise or Norton, VA Delineated Area:Wise County, VA; specifically within the two town limits of Norton, VA and Wise, VA (Attached maps outlined for reference only) Minimum/Maximum Sq. Ft. (ABOA):17,810 Space Type:Office and special use; premises will include 150 SF of lab space and 1,500 SF of shower/locker rooms Parking Spaces (Total):147 surface parking spaces comprised of the following: 60 reserved for Government vehicles; 81 for employee vehicles; 6 for visitors PLUS handicap accessible parking (quantity per local code). Additional Parking Requirements:Secure parking for reserved Government vehicles, with card-key access gate, preferred, but optional (e.g., enclosure with 6-foot high chain link fence and automatic card-key access gate). Lighting is required for the Government vehicle parking areas as well as the employee, visitor, and handicapped parking areas (dusk to dawn type lighting system). A second entrance to the office space with overhang canopy is required to shield inspectors from weather elements when loading/unloading equipment from GOVs. Full Term:Ten (10) years Firm Term:Ten (10) years Option Term:One renewal option for an additional five (5) years Additional Requirements:Contiguous office area and related space must be on the ground floor to support daily loading and unloading of heavy inspection equipment. Convenient access to highways, restaurant and other amenities is critical. Subleases will not be considered. Lease must be fully-serviced. Offered space must meet Government requirements for Fire, Life Safety, Handicapped Accessibility, and Sustainability set forth in the Request for Lease Proposal. Offered space cannot be located in a 100-year floodplain. Expressions of interest received by individuals with any interests in the mining industry or for space in a facility owned by an individual with interests in the mining industry will not be considered.
